From what I've seen of the novel spoilers on wattpad to this, it looks like the comic is going to go in a bit of a different direction. It looks like Claude will end up getting involved with Jennette and cause Athy a lot of angst that he will adopt Jennette as his daughter and forget about Athy forever.
That "the headache lessened" was very telling. I imagine Athy's heart will break if Claude comes to love Jennette as a daughter like in the original novel of "A Lovely Princess".
