Yeah but that really isn't that much of a good reason. Perhaps there is something more behind it or some other reason that we should have been made aware of? Like, if the kid knew how she looked like then I would understand it (but still find it as slightly odd) because he would then be the only one able to identify her but he doesn't so you know he really isn't of much use.

Yes, its only chapters 3 but so much has happened in terms of plot and so little in terms of getting to know the characters. sure hope so but at the rate the plot is progressing, ar least some of those questions should have been answered or hinted at. And it's not like most of my questions can even be answered though the plot as they are questioning the authors choices within tjwmselves rather than the events of the storyline.
And no, thats not contradictory. As at the time when my comment was written that was the case and last time I checked it still is. Of course it could possibly change in the future but tbh personally I wouldn't be surprised if the author never answered those questions.

He was revealed to be an S-Rank mercenary and some dude who was blacklisted because of some mission he took with FL (forgot what it was) got mad and tried to kill the Ml with his whole S-Rank Mercenary group. Obviously the whole group got destroyed and that was it. I think that was some of chapter six tho. Then towards the end of chapter six FL was walking home and some little boy appeared in a tree with red eyes and blonde hair. (Looked like a vampire high key) and that was it.
I might be missing a few things cause I kinda skimmed but
So people say that the characters are boring and I do agree with them but I think that there is a reason as to why they aren't intresting.
The story within it's self doesn't make much sense. Why did the duke character pick the MC? How did he know about the white-haired woman? How did he know that she lives in the woods? If he knows the location and how the criminal looks like then why would he need this specific child to get it done especially when the child is so young and does not remember how the said woman looks plus over the couse of 8 years her apperance would change? Why now? Why not before? Why would he be willing to wait so long if (chapter one, page 48-51=emotional response that indicated caring) he cares so much about what happened. Couldn't he have gotten a group of armed troops to search the forest?
The way they interact and talk to one another is just odd.
The Ml is overpowered, when he fought he legit wasn't even looking at the guy. I would get it if there was some part of the story devoted to him training and stuff but seriouly, in a story the characters are meant to change over time develop through facing their struggles. We went from weak powereless child to a adult with amazing fighting abilities in one chapter.
It's good that there are clues that there is something off with her/ that she may be the witch but aren't they like way too obvious and don't they happen like way too often? This seems to be mostly caused by the fast pace of the story.
The story isn't all bad, it does have some intresting ideas like the potion that makes you forget and how she herself seems to not remember all things. And his does bring up.
But the story is progressing too fast and this does explain most problems. The readers find the characters boring because there hasn't been time to get to know them and see them form relationships (not dating, general relationships.) If the clues were spread out over more chapters then it would really make us question more about whenever she is a witch of not and put us into this conflict just like the main character which would make us empathise with him more. It does seem that finding the witch isn't the main goal of the story, it's proably finding out what caused the events in the past to happen. But couldn't the writer have at least gave us more chapters before making it so obvious that she is the witch?
The characters obviously have potential and seem like nice normal people with feeling and opinions but we haven't really gotten to know much about them.
