Maybe it’s just a protective guard for when the arrow is let loose. Maybe the string has cut some nipples in the past.
the nipple part was almost right but when you draw the string and release it, it will slaps and drag along your pecs/breast and it hurts

it was a basic archery club in high school so we didn't have that shoulder chest cover, so first time releasing a bow string, my chest was not pleased
I'm always curious, what is the function of that shoulder bracer they wear? It doesn't look like it provides support/protectio of any kind or hangs their bow on it...what is it?
