I'm quite surprised that the initial appearance of the disease is not as scary. MXTX surely had a way of making the idea of such disease so uncomfortable to the [novel] readers. I wonder what her inspiration for this one was.
I agree, since I've nvr read this similar or even close case with human face disease in other fictional literatures, be it asian or western..
It's just literal yuck all over
And the monsters on this novel are all literally leveled up from mdzs...those slimy grimy monsters on the mountain, the giant earthworm...and when the faces started eating I thought I had enough lol
I was so glad when I finally finished book 2
Can't wait for the horror when the infection starts becoming sentient in the story. I'll probably internally screech for that more than how I am screeching every time a character gets revealed in STARember's work. The visual appeal are polar opposites but the feelings are most likely similar.
NGL the human face disease is the most gruesome thing I've ever read all my life!! Its depiction is really disturbing and vivid i literally had to calm my queasy stomach on and on...just how come mxtx can come up with things like that *smh*
But actually I had imagined worse depiction, this one has been tampered a lot...at least it's not bulging uuuh
