No, the consent was complete trash. It was hardly consent at all, he had no other choice but to abide and didn't start to enjoy it until l8ter on when they got closer. People are defending Ren but they both left terrible first impressions.
As I said in my second comment I don't disagree. Both are bad. I was pointing out that you can't glaze over the cousin dude if you are not applying yaoi logic to the situation with Ren either.

I mean yeah, Ren was an asshole (tbh he reminds me of Kageyama lol) or insensitive or whatever, but at least they were both aware on their situation while it was happening. While the cousin guys was the one who molested the poor bunny when he wasn't even aware or responsive or inebriated or understood anything that was happening to him. The consent Kaede gave to Ren was pretty dubious, but it was there. He did NOT give any consent to the other guy, wasn't even aware of it.
If you give shit to Ren for being an insensitive asshole and blaming him for forcing himself on the bunny, don't fucking omit the issue where there was literally no consent given. Seriously.
