I can clearly picture an alternate ending where before the truck got that close Takezou finds him and pulls him out of the way and they fall on the ground on top of each other and then when he's laying in Takezou's arms he starts crying. After that he officially divorces his wife, retires, leaving their businesses and they move to a different country and Takezou opens an average sushi restraunt and they live out their days on the beach.
