I dont think he was abused by his dad to be honest. Look at how his dad and brother have to keep cleaning up his messes. There are people who legitimately psychotic that come decent or loving homes. I don't get the parental abuse vibe from this

im not saying jihyun wasnt a bad kid but hitting your kid so that they come to school with a patch on their eye and bruises and scratches on their face and body is not necessarily good parenting and imo abuse, some parents believe disciplining kids involves spanking etc, (which i dont agree with btw) but long lasting injuries are far from even that kind of dscipline
Did you not see why he was all bandaged up ? The boy is mental he beats the shit out of people even when he was young. Like his brother and father stay cleaning up his mess now does he deserve to get smacked around by his dad no but for him I can't agree that doesn't deserve it.
but then say chiwoo was leading him on in the past which caused jihyun to assault him, now that chiwoo is actively rejecting jihyun so that jihyun doesnt get lead on, chiwoo is again the one to blame and jihyun is the pitiful one? make it make sense. yes, its sad what has become of their friendship but jihyun is obviously messed up from abuse from his dad and is now unable to control his own violent impulses. also, lets be honest jihyun was a bully when they were friends and still is. he was beating up people for no reason then, not just the ones who got close to chiwoo but just random kids that he and his lackeys liked to pick on. chiwoo looked past all that and continued to be his friend presumably because he knows jihyuns home life but in the end jihyun assaulted him enough to send him to the hospital and is still threatening to harm anyone who gets near chiwoo. i dont hate jihyun even if there is reason too but come on, hes been far from a good and worthy friend
