Why did he sleep with Ein? There was no hints of attraction and diesel even said ein smelled of lies. Yanek was not a good person, but in diesel's eyes, he was his savior. Why did he choose to sleep with Ein? He had to know he would see it as a betrayal.

P.s. I love ein and diesel. Just confused by diesels attraction.

I think that although ein smelled of lies he felt ein’s genuine concern and sincerity in spite of it...naturally he smelled of lies because he was doing undercover work but the moment ein saw diesel’s state when yanek first brought him to ein’s place ein’s police instincts kicked in and when he saw yanek and diesel in the bedroom i think he started coming up with a plan to rescue diesel and in the course of those days especially when ein retrieved diesel’s necklace from the water i think that set off a lot of his feelings although it wasn’t explicitly shown and it all snowballed to that night when he had little resistance to sleeping with ein haha well that’s my opinion (sorry that was long) (▰˘◡˘▰)

Thanks for the response. I can see why Diesel would see him as a good guy with what we saw. But it still seems odd that he would betray Yanek, especially when he was held in captivity and abused. Yanek saved him from that. Even though he did end up using him for his own personal gain by having him fight his enemies.

I dont know, it just seems odd. For example, i cant imagine him betraying Ein, it just doesnt seem in his character. Especially when we didnt see issues crop up between Diesel and Yanek.

Hey, I tink there is 2 extrathings that made it this way:

    1) Leto mentiom once, tat even though he has yanek, he cannot stop thinking about the man that smelled like lies... he felt an attraction much quicker than we can think of... and was highly touched that ein decided against all odds not to hurt him at the end, while he could have. So Ein was the second person who seemed to want to protect him... but not only that.

    2) He was unable to feel Yanek's love... they make it quite obvious more than once, on how Yanek was mostly using him, and giving him 'cold eyes'. I think, feelings 'Ein's' concern and love was the first time Diesel actually felt someone love for him since his family got split up... and I think that's what drove him into Eins... The warm touch because someone was actually 'loving' him... while Yanek was 'nice' to him, we see how they had sex, which was never towarded an 'affectuous' side, or a 'loving' side, but a power-control... appreciation of his things plays.

Your response actually makes a lot of sense. Thanks for responding!

Reminds me of the last scene with Yanek where he didnt hesitate to try to kill Diesel. Since he could since that Ein was full of lies, perhaps he knew that Yanek was using him, and that he didnt really love him.

Another thing, at one point yanek says that they are the same, and leto is used to the smell or something, so whoever smelled of lies and cigarettes was maybe both yanek and ein, they had different types of lies, when I read through taht part, I thought that leto might have ignored the smell coming from yanek since he was his saviour and assumed ein was the only lier or something,

Anyway that part of the story had a lot of references and metaphors, and people have different interpretations to it

    So ya
