It seems like she thinks she is in a dream, probably in denial and just going along with it. We also don't know her past so she may not have liked her real life or it is possible that she got attached.............A plot twist could also be that the longer she stays in the novel the more she forgets her real life and her purpose of returning.
..........I'm sorry for telling you a bunch of crap that might not even make sense ┗( T﹏T )┛

If you were living in two worlds, and you knew one was a dream but not which one (yes I know she’s aware) would you destroy yourself in one and constantly waist your time trying to ‘wake up’ to get to the other world, or would you love your life to the fullest in both, so that whatever one is real you have the least amount of regrets, and no matter what, everything is an experience so even if it just a dream if your going to remember it then you want it to be good.
Also in that situation the one you would choose to be ‘real life’ would probably be the one you enjoy most, that could easily be the dream.
Sorry went off on weird tangent here but I think that if she prefers this fictional world then she shouldn’t be trying to get out of it, just because the other world is supposed to be real. She doesn’t know anything so I think there’s nothing wrong with that. It’d be different if she knew that in the real world she was in a coma or something and the longer she spent here the more pain her family is going through and all she has to do to get back is let go and want to go back.

I’m assuming that she doesn’t enjoy being in the illogical novel as she said it herself: in multiple instances she has gone WTF from their cringe actions + during the call she said she wished she could transfer, from there i assumed that she preferred her old world as she couldn’t stand the actions of the people around her. Then again, what you said made perfect sense, as she herself was searching frantically for her friends when she was in another world, which meant that she probably enjoyed the time she had with them and would not want to part with them

And what you say is definitely true. Whatever life you wish to live in is your “real life”. However, I personally think that all novels come to an abrupt end and so you can never live life in a novel, because you either continuously loop through the whole world, or your world ends, but hey, I might be wrong :v

Ah your right about that, I guess that’s the problem with this being a work of fiction, we don’t know if the author is going to make the novel shes actually being trapped in, or if it’s an entire new world that won’t, as you said, just go in a continuous loop.
- also thanks for reading my long ramble earlier, I don’t think anyone would bother ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Firstly, the way that they introduce the Main characters thoughts is confusing (etc the part where she say she’s afraid her girl Friend will disappear).
Secondly, her actions contradict my common sense. As a girl trapped in a light novel, wouldn’t you be trying your best to find a way back? Instead of just trying to adapt to the world and trying to stay away from the limelight.
Also, why would you be afraid of returning to your own world( I’m assuming). Sure, you can’t find your novel friends, but can’t you find your old friends and family? Shouldn’t ya be Glad tht you’ve found your way back and that you can meet your RL friends?
