I think is just public acceptance of having a lover, and acting as such, just as any heterosexual couple. He said that he was attracted to straight guys specifically because they saw a woman with eyes he wished guys would look at him with. That last part was confusing, but I hope u get the idea.

but i'm not sure about something bc i'm slow: is that a very specific interest in specifically straight men that he has? or is it just the fantasy of being loved as in a standard public hetero relationship that supposedly can't be fulfilled w/ a gay partner? do i even make sense?
