Thought I was gonna like this story but it kinda went downhill. As soon as I heard that he already had a past love, I’m like: “great. Another one of these scenarios again.” Where the male lead compares the female lead to his past love or uses her as some sort of a replacement. Usually I like to steer clear away from those stories but I wanted to try reading it. It seems to me like she’s probably his past love and she just lost her memories or something, but it still doesn’t make me relieved cause it wouldn’t change the fact that she has a new personality and isn’t the same as before. It still feels like everyone only wants that past chick to come back anyways. Plus it doesn’t help that the male lead progressively gets worse lol. He leaves her to fight for herself against tons of dangerous people, watches her get stabbed, does nothing, then leaves her on her own (for dead) afterwards. Then 3 days later he suddenly is back to caring for her and nurses her for the 3 days she was unconscious. Like that’s gonna make up for everything. His subordinate backs him up and tells the female lead that the male lead only let her fight against those dangerous people cause he needed his mothers relic (but that still doesn’t change the fact that he let her go after she was severely injured). Male lead thinks it’s fine to just kiss her every time she wants to run away just so she’ll stay. He also hurt her by saying to another right in front of her: that he’s only ever loved his past love up til now. Female lead isn’t any better as she still seems to stupidly care for him when he’s in trouble, and gets bribed with food. It’s cause she lets him get away with all the things he’s done to her, that he keeps on doing them and thinks it’s fine and that he’ll be able to win her back or keep her next to him all the time. Literally 3 potential love interests for female lead other than the male lead and they’re all way better than he is.
