People aren’t that pissed off about rape itself, but its portrayal. A lot of comments romanticize it (not as a kink, but as not that bad). I really enjoy the story and the author does a really good job in showing how fucked io rape is. Some commenters just normalize it (telling it makes them love the mc even more etc) and that’s kinda fucked up imo, even if it’s fiction. I mean, it is a representation of reality in some way right?
In short: works should include heavy topics such as rape, but be careful how they portray them. This author does that very well, but some comments are just..very bad.

This. Op was purposely being obtuse. “Who cares it’s fiction” is such an ignorant statement when fictional romanticized rape actually does perpetuate an already existing rape culture. No one is even complaining, it’s been mostly positive comments recently tf are they even on about?
