okay, this is probably a stretch and I don’t know why I’m acting like a detective but: it does make sense that this teacher was the mc’s unrequited love’s brother because — when the mc confessed, there was silence on the other line so we don’t know who actually heard the confession. and the mc said after he confessed, the unrequited love acted like normal (like he never heard it), and when he told the teacher this story, the teacher apologised out of nowhere. almost like he could be apologising for hearing the confession instead of his brother? idk!!
