I hate it then authors do that. They make an asshole character => character gets lots if hate & shit => insert surprise Pikachu face => author makes a chapter to show that asshole character is in fact pitiful and just needs love or whatever... Like, no, just stop that, no one's buying that. If you once made an asshole character that didn't show a bit of likeability in the beginning, just keep it like that. People (usually) only get angry, they won't suddenly like them... (〜￣△￣)〜
At this point the author is trying to justify the seme shitty behaviour and instead is making us hate him even more. He doenst deserve the uke at all
