The getting cheated and betrayed by your fiancee and half sister/cousin troupe then getting reborn for revenge has been extremely popular the past few years. It's become very predictable and overused now.
The author could have included a true same gender pair in a loving and sweet relationship as few (close to none) novels do. If the novel is straight, no one is LGBT. If it's bl, EVERYONE is gay(/TДT)/
This novel in particular follows the same trajectory as your typical reborn romance novel. In other words, the scum pair who happen to be gay are villainized and naturally won't have a good end. Reader mobs are lynching already. Putting in a bl couple just to have readers hate their very existence later on? Not a smart move. And because this is a copy and paste reborn novel, the cousin doesn't HAVE to be male. Characterization is exactly the same as the usual female counterpart. So why did the author make him male? I can think of no other reason then to draw in the fujoshi audience and make this novel stand out amongst the several other reborns. How is this not a cheap move on the author's part?
I'm not fetishizing sh*t. Quit assuming and get your self entitled body out of the gutter thank you

Lolllllll how am i entitled?? Calm down, you're being way too aggressive. Let me explain why I misunderstood you and sorry if i did. The way you wrote your comment made it seem that you were fetishising it with trying to make a boundary between bl and straight comics and then getting mad for being 'baited' just cus it isn't bl. It shouldn't matter which it is, as long as it's a pretty goddamn good plot and doesn't discriminate or send hate towards whatever community (not directly at you, this should be towards those toxic fujoshis who got mad that it wasn't all gay).
And please, you gotta put up with these cliches, why are you throwing a tantrum like a child?? This is a popular trend, obviously it's gonna get overused like it did with vampires and werewolves! That is how it is in the industry and if you don't like it, I'm afraid you just have to avoid it the way I avoided twilight and bts fanfictions because they were getting really ridiculous.
If you want me to understand your point of view, you don't have to disrespect me. I actually do get where you're coming from after you elaborated because you weren't so clear on your first comment. I just didn't see it in that way because I didn't want to set a boundary between bl and straight yada yada. In my point of view, i thought it was a good thing to include different kinds of relationships, however, you thought of it as something negative. Totally understand. It actually might be the case but I got to read it more to come to that conclusion. I would love to hear different opinions from you and if you thought I assumed that you were one of those toxic fujoshis, then sorry that I thought you were one. The way you wrote your message made it seemed you were one of them so well, if i misunderstood you, you can correct me but do you really have to bash people for it in a hurtful way?
Anyways have a good day. Merry Christmas!
Honestly, it doesn't make a difference if scum pair is a bl couple or not. Might as well ignore it since it doesn't get explored at all which is a pitty because I was looking forward to it.
But no, it's the same old trash fiancee and white lotus bish half sister/cousin deal again.
And SPOILER...
That little h*e of a cousin is actually after the other duke, the true ML. He's just using FL and idiot fiancee as everyone has probably guessed. Like I said, having bl pairing doesn't change a d*mn thing. Probably just a trick to lure fujoshis. How cheap tsk!
