The events are changing and his impression of her is getting more positive, this'll progress to romance eventually. The prince has always had a personal connection with Tia since childhood, but he saw nothing but circumstantially bad things in that timeline which eventually made him hate her. Even then you saw him waver a few times in his shittiness during the beginning, he lost it once he thought she killed Jieun's baby.
