Just giving my two cents, but in Germany, where I live, the name Dominique is considered gender neutral, so you need to have a gender specific second name to clarify the gender of the person with the name spelled this way. And, btw, it's not in every country where you can spell the name how you like to.
I feel sorry for you sis/bro but trying to speak to closed-minded people as if they’re reasonable is like talking to a wall. I’ve met some boomers who’re more open-minded, but op seems like someone who would insist that the Earth is flat and that vaccine should are the devil if they were raised that way, even if they get slapped by logic. You tried.

Fixed a typo.
Even Wikipedia says it is unisex AND in people there are many men named Dominique!!!

And another ignorant American. Name endings are different in every country, just cose you were raised to think that every name ending in i is female doesn’t mean it’s like that all over the world; in Poland, every girl name ends with a, but you don’t see me pointing that out to boys with names ending in a, cose I respect that every culture is different. You should have stated your opinion and left it at that rather than disrespecting/ arguing with people who tried to correct your obviously biased opinions and in doing so education you about the world outside of your biased opinions.
I’m not prejudiced; I said that because that’s the impression you are creating of yourself. A stereotypical, misinformed, ignorant American. “Therefore educating you” is the correct form. How funny that as someone whose first language is English, you don’t even know it well enough to write in it.
And stop being a bitch, because that is how you are acting. Like a good old bitch.

I feel like that's a mistranslation. That's the female usage of that name, it's supposed to be Dominic. Dominique sounds like [dom-in-eek], Dominic sounds like [dom-in-ick].
