But she said in some chapters back that she doesn’t even want to know what her future looks like back in present time so it’s best that she’s there. So doesn’t that imply she died back in that time, I assume this story will be the “coma dream” trope and his descendant or lookalike will meet her in present time.
No considering she doesn’t know what happened after the accident or even how she got there, she can’t tell us what really happened.

Also i totally get why your confused but to me (when the story began) she died but she'd been transported back in another time she clearly wasn't familiar with and (in her new world) the priest and the vampire have no clue if she is alive or not but she is alive speaking and breathing so he's experimenting that if what ever she is can she turn to a vampire like him and live forever but (just by seeing the sneak peak in the next chapter) his "EXPERIMENT" didn't work. That's just how i see it
