She’s thinking about the innocent people that would feel the effects of the guy’s failure. She’s not doing it to help him, but to help the people. But to do that, she has to make sure that the household doesn’t go into ruin, and so she has to make it easier for when the guy takes over eventually. Or actually, anyone that takes over. Doesn’t have to be him. I would prefer the guy loses his right to it.
