Well not really? I mean...he didn't physically hurt or sexually abuse Beatrice at any means or threatened to rape Beatrice unlike the red-haired dude. He did threaten, however, to kill Beatrice if she couldn't save his horse (you know if you can't spare my favorite horse from dying then I'll take your life). He made Beatrice and the other women slaves because that was common for royalty members to go through after they've been overthrown from power. They either become slaves, or they get killed. Was he cold to Beatrice initially? Of course, but y'all keep forgetting that this is a historical story. Historical stories like these are going to have stuff like slavery, patriarchy, little regard to human life etc. It's not an easy read for people who like the fluffy, sweet, romance stories or who are not used to reading these type of stories. We don't agree with what the ml has done, but we can see why he did it given his social standing. Plus, he's not really a villian that some of y'all paint him out to be ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.

I never said he did? I said he's likely to be the type of ml that will force on her later, and her the type of fl that will not try to reject him because she's too nice. Also, the era doesnt make slavery or anything, even people more excusable. I don't think he's the villain but his way of thinking he's right and a hero is definitly wrong, and I hope he can change but I doubt it since it's obviously this kind of shoujo cliche with no character development. Not saying the webtoon is bad tho. (and his alpha male attitude makes him more unlikable)
Um while I like the fact that mc isn’t acting cute on purpose, I feel like you could just hit her and she be like « ugh okay« which is pretty irritating, like she has the knowledge but not the brains? I feel like she don’t realize in what situation she’s in, and with a man that branded as slaves innocent girls, and has knights that are badly chosen considering they are sexist and potential rapists (the butler is fine though). Idk I’m not saying she should be all strong, but at least should have some will? He’s just gonna have a crush on her and making her advances and she won’t even reject him because she has a weak will. (Also the ml is not THAT hot. Even claude from who made me a princess is superior by far) I’m even betting my life that he’s gonna find her cute and will listen to his alpha male instincts which are telling him to fuck her quick.
