Does knoting possibly happen in real life? Or is that just to add spice to the story?

As far as I know, it does happen in canines as a means to ensure insemination, thus leads to pregnancy. Since omegaverse and werewolf stories depict canine features, they use knotting as well at times..

Based on my experience it's a no. Lol. It's not possible for male humans. Only some animals can knot.

only canines have the ability to knot... the question was answered earlier in the comment thread, and its pretty obvious they're referring non-humans giving the context of the question.

...some of you guys are really showing your age when you post questions like this lmao. this story is pure fiction: those who were born as males can't get pregnant, and the concept of omegaverse doesn't exist in real life. you don't sound old enough to be reading sexually explicit content like this, but since no one can really stop you from doing so, please realize that much of what's portrayed in yaoi isn't comparable to real life, so it's best to not try and compare the two.

Wether it is obvious or not what they meant, what they said is still incorrect. I think it’s good to point out a mistake that comes from the definition of a word.
