I though this guy was innocent stupid, but he turned out to be stupid oblivious. He knows how much Kaede suffered from people who approached him for his place in the family, he knows the things he went through with that family enough for Kaede to be traumatized, and yet he easily accepts what that woman told him about Kaede, it's like he couldn't care less about Kaede's feelings and experiences and just trusts the person he knows is the number one problem in Kaede's life. Fuck off please.

He wasn’t being oblivious he was doing it for the sake of Kaede, when you love someone you let them go; by the context of the woman, it would have better for Rintarou to breakup with kaede so that he could “succeed” the family. If anything you’re getting angry over something that was done with lots of loving intent. He was being selfless and he wasn’t assuming what was better for kaede either, if he had broken up with Kaede like the grandma asked it would allow security for the bloodline and family branch. (Of course this was a lie by the grams but still) And also you try and talk as if to antagonize Rintarou but in the first place, Kaede didn't have lingering OR extreme trauma? Yes, he developed a sadistic urge but that’s more of a learned, ’cause-and-effect’ trait. I will agree it’s not the healthiest but you shouldn’t exacerbate the similarities of acquired flaws with outright trauma...Not to mention, why do you feel the need to trash on a very positive and fluffy manga? If you really need to relieve stress, go misdirect your damn anger elsewhere. And fr SOMEONE had to say it so I figured, I’d correct your unrightfully aggressive view. Ik everyone’s entitled to their own opinion so I just hope I helped you see things differently

As i said, he knows that Kaede suffered from his family, yet he still tried to leave him to his family. 'doing it for his sake' doesn't change this fact.

His trauma is not being able to trust other people, if you didn't know.

And you're the one here who sounds angry, thanks for ruining my day.

    Passive aggressive much
-Ik he has trust issues but I don’t agree with your opinion on how you see the whole manga on an event that was very minor anyways..Plus kaede himself knew he was tryna break up with him for his sake

Also I’m not angry I’m just trying to reason so hopefully you hold a better opinion of the manga
Last thing now fr, so but like what’s ur point? He was tryna leave for a good cause n’ they didn't even really break up anyway? Sorry if I “ruined” your mid-morning day by expressing a different opinion

How can you not get my point? I literally said it 2 times, that he is oblivious to the point he would leave his lover to his family who ruined him inside.

Oh wow i never tried thinking it that way. Thats interesting. I took that scene as a usual cliché "family tells you to break things up for the sake of the seme" and it was a turn off seriously.

I love this manga, but I gotta agree and disagree with you a bit. Rintaro is is oblivious and stupid, but I think that's part of his charm. But you have to consider it, he is young and naive so it wasn't surprising that he said that and he cried too, so it's very obvious that he didn't mean it. He probably thought it was the right choice, albeit it's a bad choice, he thought he did what was best for Kaede and their business. Since Rintaro has sort of a one track mind, Kaede's family problems probably slipped past his mind. He was probably thinking that he's ruining Kaede future and his family's business. And like I said, he's young, he's bound to make very wrong choices. I mean, you can't expect him to make right choices all the time. These are just my thoughts, please don't be offended.

Also, I don't think she was the number one problem. She was the one who allowed him to seperate from the family. It's probably his other family members
