Basically the authors started stopping any illegal English translation versions around October, they say the official English version will be coming soon tho.

But where would they release it? It's so funny how they all very discreet about the date of official english translation release date...like it's been almost a year since the korean season 2 released...usually they will advertise like crazy, whether in the author's social media or the webtoon platform, if the date is approaching. I asked lezhin multiple times yanno, and their answer is always vague... just this "we will release the R18 version of king's maker" like wtf, they didn't even mention anything about it being season 2, or when will it be....it's like it is still being planned, eventho it's already been a long time

I was so sad when season 1 ended and there was nothing for a year except the epilogue saying that there's gonna be a season 2, I was so god damn devastated. june 1 last year was the highlight of the entire year cuz ep1 of season 2 finally came out. and now this...?

Wow, I'm surprised Lezhin answered you. Season 2 won't be on Lezhin after the drama that happened there (not paying artists properly, for example). Kang Ji-young and Haga had tweets about the Lezhin incident in 2018. If they stayed with Lezhin, then the Korean chapters would definitely be there. So for now, give the creators some time and we'll get official translations someday. :)
I've heard theres gonna be a midseason break where they'll bring out the r18 version and I'm assuming they'll start the English, if you want some more information I recommend joining the King's Maker amino group thats where I find alot of updates! :)
They always do tho,,,whether I ask about payment problems or when a certain release is.. I even asked one time about one manhwa that's gone on hiatus for a while without no info, and they answered back with a long list of manhwas that were no longer in lzh, my questioned manhwa included...just give it a week and they will answer, esp if your question sounded urgent or complaining lol. The thing about KM s2 is, I started asking around 2 months after the korean release, since it's s2 so i assume it shudn't have been long for the translation to come out...so if it's already being discontinued by the author or they had no contract anymore due to the incidents in 2018, I doubt they had the audacity to say they still will release the r18 version.
Is the r18 version part of s2 or it's like extras/spin off?
Lezhin's customer service sounds good then. I'm genuinely surprised, since I didn't expect much from them xD
Have you tweeted Kang Ji-young and/or Haga directly? They were the ones who tweeted about season 2's release. There were people asking them about the second season's English translation, and they mentioned that it would be out. The Korean chapters of season 2 are on Kakao. If the Korean chapters were on Lezhin, Lezhin could translate and release the English chapters directly. We don't currently know which platform the English translations of season 2 will be posted :(
I'm also surprised Lezhin told you they're releasing the 19+ version. Kang Ji-young and Haga did say a 19+ version will be released at the concert, but there wasn't specific news at the time it would be on Lezhin. Did Lezhin give a date? ;----;
That's why I emailed lzh, since i didn't see the korean s2 in lzh korea, i was expecting they wud tell me they no longer publish KM s2, i was surprised when I saw the reply they will release the R-version..i wasn't sure if they meant R-rated is s2 or just a spin off of few chapters. Some manhwas do have spin-off that were published separately in lzh before the continue w s2. I wish i can screenshot their reply here, but it's a hassle...It must be such a big loss for lzh tho, KM is very popular, s1 just won the best manhwa in 2019 lzh english..
I wonder what the problem with official trans, i'm pretty sure webtoon platforms will seek after KM S2 knowing how huge the fanbase is in international readers (i'm really just impatient since it's been a long time lol).
I no longer goin around twitter, beside i doubt the author will give me the complete info, it's probably still suspended in progress
they'll basically re-release season 2 but uncensored basically, so like the first scene in the throne room I think they'll add more to it.
