Everyone's saying it's too early for him to get pregnanant (lol)... and maybeeeee it's just me, but I don't really feel like sitting through a realistic amount of time for them to properly form a traditionally accepted relationship? Like that's going to take, what, a few years (typically?), and there's only so much content that can be explored through dates before it gets repetitive and stale. Time skips are also an option but they're unimmersive AF in my opinion and leaves the reader as equally un-invested as the first scenario since events would end up happening "off-screen." I just think they can still build a good relationship and date during his pregnancy (if he even does become pergant).
