You do know that Black Claude is the father of Jennette?Jennette is innocent but she’s stupid. I admit on more on Team Athy and hope Claude favors her more than Jennette who isn’t his child mind you. Anyways, canonically in the book it seem Jennette isn't aware the isolation that Athy suffer from Claude but somewhat knows Athy isn’t truly love from Claude.
Instead of encouraging Claude to have relationship with Athy, Jennette instead seem to grab his attention and push Athy aside. Making a horrible situation with Athy that lead to her death.

3. from the original story Jeanette is not innocent at all. How can you say she's kind hearted, innocent, and naive knowing that she took everything away from athy. Bitch knew about the mistreatment but didn't step up or some shit. so i still don't like jeanette. the only thing that will make me like her if she sacrifices herself for athy's sake.hmph
