I think it's normal in Korea, China and Japan (and maybe other east asian countries) to shower before sex. I've seen some videos that talk about that, and I live in China and all my foreign friends told me that when they are going to have sex with someone they are asked to take a shower (which completely kills the mood but it's normal)

I think this may be the first time anywhere (yaoi or otherwise) where I read a detailed first time experience.
