the thing is how hard niel was to jensen, he could literally say “i’m scared, i don’t know if i can pass through all this pain again, sorry, i prefer to be just like we are now” and not “you don’t like me, you’re confused, you’re drunk” that shit hurts (and it’s also cruel to jensen)

i‘m not too fond of niel‘s way of rejecting either. but bc he got hurt of someone straight back then, he’s applying that knowledge on everything that happens since then on all the straight guys. that’s how humans work in general. we use patterns and apply it on things that match when we get older. and since this left such a big scar, he’s all the more scared and careful and just wants to eliminate things that might hurt him like it did before.
I absolutely and totally agree with you, I just think that even tho he thinks that Jensen is confused or even lying, he could try to avoid saying this out loud. I'm not ready to deal again with all this YuYang vibes hahahahah
this crashed everyone’s expectations. but it wasn’t smth that shocked me. like, he’s traumatized and just purely full of anxiety. and since he was young back then, to him it’s much more of a big deal. think back, when you’re younger, things that hurt you, especially when it’s a first, leave a big fat scar. i just hope both will find their way to overcome this.
