I agree. When the mangaka first decided to write a couple more volumes after the main story ended, I thought it'd be something different, like Senpai actually beginning to be more lovey-dovey towards Morinaga. I was foolish to think otherwise (〜￣△￣)〜

You are absolutely right. Skip Beat is another one that has long run its course and character development. Ren and Kyoko need to get married already lmaoo
I know that it makes money but I feel like the author should, for the sake of the integrity of the characters and plot they’ve created, wrap it up and know when to end a story. It’s just so frustrating as a reader to see a story you were interested in get stretched out like a piece of gum.
It's been officially more than a decade y'all. The significant character development some of you want is NOT going to happen sadly. I do wish Senpai would be kinder though :/
