also bcoz we see the teacher being a fucking piece of shit does not mean nakyum knows too. what happened at the market was his first time realizing that the teacher does not really care about him. and who knows, maybe farther down the line he will realize that... BOTH OF THEM ARE FUCKING MONSTERS AND HE NEEDS TO GET OHT OF THERE ASAP!
I also think that age and environment plays a role. He looks quite young to me (I would be surprised if he was even over 18) and I'm not sure but I think he was an orphan? His naïveté could be stemming from these. Plus he trusts the learned sir (too much imo) and he is in love with him. Love can blind people, especially young and impressionable people.
