    The only places that have 13 as their age of consent are some islands. Like the okinotori islands. Almost all of Japan has their age of consent be 16-18

    Uh, nope. Federally speaking it’s 13; yes, local and prefectural laws have their own amendments to raise the age, but it’s easy to pass as the exception is “a romantic relationship”.

    Wym nope. Federally yes it's 13 but when it comes to areas and prefectures it's 16-18 the only places in Japan where it's 13 is the Marcus islands and the okinotori islands. If you have sex with someone who is under 16-18 in all areas besides those islands you will be charged accordingly.

    To pass on the "romantic relationship" you need parental consent from the parents to approve of the relationship. And who is gonna let a 30 Y/o date their 14 Y/o kid.
