It honestly just be like that unfortunately :/ Some people just want the specific niche they’re in and don’t like outsiders. It sucks

I dont think its racism. Here in u.s i see alot of korean students grouped together. I think its just comfortable like this for them. and maybe this is why the author made it like this..

I’m an international student and it’s often a lot more comfortable to be with people with your own country when you’re away from home. It’s comforting to hear your own language.

Well.. That is not racism.. It is just avoiding to meddle with a group of foreigners you are familiar with..

Currently studying post graduate and I have a lot of Indian and African classmates... And when they are grouped together.. It is hard to casually talk to them and even just being with them because there are times that they will revert in talking into their native language...

And I guess that is also what a foreigner will feel if he/she saw a group of Filipino students as well..

Racism, for me, is when you did totally offensive to other race like, for example: saying.. Indians are fucki** smelly and unhygienic!

Agree. I get that people get homesick but it's good to get out of your comfort zone instead of always hanging out in your ethnic group.

Im a first gen immigrant and avoid hanging out with other people at school for the sole reason that we share the same ethnic background. Not getting much out of the uni experience if you refuse to diversify your friend group.
