I agree with you. and the following is a bit of a tangent, but it is also related to what you've said. i've been around the manga world for a good amount of time and while it's hateful to snipe, imo if a group really did care about quality, it shouldn't be a problem if more than one group translates. One can strive for a seamless translation and the other might not. And there will be an audience for both. I thought the scanlating world was maturing towards a dynamic where it's okay if there is more than one translation but I guess not....anyway there is no such thing as a perfect translation. Each translator has their own way of interpreting and their own style of eloquence. What we see with these recent updates is certainly not eloquent but it's also not terrible. I'd give this a rating of 85%. I can understand it and sure, there are glaring grammatical mistakes here and there but there is nothing in it that really makes you question what the text is saying. There are definitely worse where I've questioned wth it was even saying. There's nothing wrong with peaceful coexistence.
Honestly even though the translation is not top notch, it's still plenty understandable.
I've seen much worse. So as long as the meaning comes across and nothing is lost from bad translation, I'm satisfied
I'd definitely rather have a mediocre translation but more updates, than a perfect translation with fewer updates.
And it's cool to practice! That's how you get good!
