If I'm not mistaken, what I saw from the raws was that in the past Wooyeon was with someone, I don't know who but possibly a previous lover or maybe just a close relative. It wasn't fully shown but the person seems like he's wearing one of those head scarfs people with cancer wear. It is possible that Wooyeon's lover may have died of cancer or an incurable disease and that's why sick/sickly people traumatizes Wooyeon.
