Nobody is inherently evil. Little people are evil, if you are evil you enjoy hurting others. He may not be evil but he is not a good person. He is a bad person, most people are bad, but don't go around beating up others even though they want to because they have more stability than Jihyun. He is not evil, but he is a bad person.
He sure need medical help. But a lot of people suffer war worse abuse than him and are not abusers themselves. He sure can be rehabilitated, but I don't think he is a good person.
His mental issues can explain what he is doing but not justify it

I somewhat agree with you but the comment he made about beating up whoever’s around Chiwoo and causing him emotional pain just because he’ll be forgiven is definitely not what a good or a misunderstood person does. He genuinely doesn’t care about Chiwoo’s feelings..that’s not what love is. He’s physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive towards Chiwoo. Also, he’s very controlling as well. I’m sure he’s been through a lot but that will never justify the way he constantly hurts Chiwoo and everyone else around him. So yes, I do agree with him getting mental help.
Okay, he definitely doesn't care about anyone's feelings but his own, I wasn't trying to say that he's misunderstood and heck, I don't even think he's been through a lot (I know jail didn't help him but he was mentally unstable even before that), nor was I hinting at him actually being good. He's just crazy at this point and he's definitely a bad person doing bad things and enjoying doing bad things.
I wasn't trying to sympathize with him or anything I just think that he's not /trying/ to be evil or bad, in his own head he thinks what hes doing is ...a /little/ naughty but overall okay, and I think that makes it even more tragic? Like, I can and will hate bad characters, but a small part of me just can't hate him because I really do think with proper help he could have the ability to be good, and I think he would even want to be good if he actually knew what that was. I kinda hate his whole family for brushing things under the rug and not intervening sooner to get him actual help. Best possibility that I can see for him is going to the mental hospital like his dad wants.
I think the first comment missed my point entirely because nowhere in my previous comment did I ever say he was a good person. And I don't think brushing off his mental issues with "a lot of people suffer war worse abuse than him" is right either, because mental issues don't necessarily only happen to those who have experienced something bad. Many people are born with issues so I don't think pointing out that someone has experienced worse is really going to negate the fact that our boy is mental as hell .
Yeah you’re definitely right. It bothers me as well when his family keep sweeping everything he does under the rug. It makes him worse. His family definitely play a huge roll in Jihyun’s character development and that’s the only reason why I can’t 100% blame him for what he does. At this point I don’t think he loves Chiwoo, it’s more of an obsession because I’m sure Chiwoo was probably the only person who showed him genuine love and care which made him turn like that..... I would like to believe so lol (￣∇￣")
Jihyun is not the most popular guy at the moment so maybe this is the wrong time to be saying this, but I really just want him to get medical professional help.
He's fucked up and it's a lot more than just a bad boy imagine. I really want him to get better (but get better far far away from our MC lol) because he's not inherently evil, he's trying so hard to be good, but because he's supremely mentally unstable his version of "trying" and "good" are insanely terrible. I'm not excusing him by saying that. What he's done is terrible and he needs to go back to jail for it really, but I just think he needs help more than prosecution.
