Chapter 32 + that extra really show how complex Yuki is. I think that the trio that made up Yuki's friend group didn't have the capacity to understand Yuki's mental health issues at their age. I mean, look at how they try to describe Yuki to Uenoyama ("fascinating") and how Yuki's own mother didn't recognize it until after his suicide. I really like that the mangaka is willing to touch on how much a mental health issue can impact a person's identity because I think the characters are beginning to mature and understand that.

    Also, I think that them understanding that Yuki most likely had a chronic mental illness will help Mafuyu move on because he'll learn not to blame himself.
