Yes but the point of LinZhen is that the reader needs to know about the world to understand why and how things work, saying that the character knows things doesn't give a proper picture of the world she lives in, the story just has the reader blindly follow it
I know, you're in your little sister's novel, you're scared and you just want to live without getting a bad end, but please, think hard before you act, and most of all, hurry up and familiarize yourself with this new world! Unless...the author intends for the plot to revolve around the characters and says to hell with world building... >_>
