I've read many weird, dark, sad stories but this one is the worst because it wasn't supposed to be one! At least I thought so when starting to read it around 4th chapter. I'm genuinely disappointed, I've liked our boy and thought he's gonna be a reasonable and powerful character. I think I'll drop it soon :/

I see what you mean :( I've been skimming the chapters, so I know the gist of this story. I read John's previous story, Eunsuk & Jung-gu, which I adored. But this one... I was somewhat expecting Hyungdo to be rational, but then he agreed to be with Lee Gyung based on a contract. And Lee Gyung probably won't die in season two, but it's a ??? moment when he got stabbed by Charlie lol. It has a ridiculous vibe. I don't know if it'll be a good(?) story either. I don't really feel satisfied. And I'm not sure what to expect. I want to feel bad for Hyungdo, but I don't 100% simultaneously because it was his choice and his desire to be with Lee Gyung. I strangely don't feel like Lee Gyung deserved to get stabbed either... He's a jerk, but he's been plain honest about being trash lol, so he hasn't deceived anyone in that sense either :|

Ridiculous vibe is the definition of the last chapter! I feel like BL is all about uke (especially when the narration is from his side) - if he makes rational decisions, acts naturally, explainable and have a powerful vibe, it makes the best stories. And seme is pretty much often a jerk but uke is supposed not to give in to him as long as the story demands it. I'm so sad...

It's not always easy to find sensible bottoms XD I will check on updates once season 2 arrives, just in case the story does get better.

There are fluffy stories floating around like Go Jin and Gam-rae, where the couple have moments where they enjoy each other's company and they respect each other's decisions. :) King's Maker has a fulfilling plot and the characters are developed and it's not a toxic relationship either. You even appreciate the side characters. Those are two stories that came to my mind, where the characters felt natural to me and had their own power in following their hearts :)
