If I was the king I would find some way to disable her mesmerization power. She's massively overriding it and obviously can't be trusted with that kind of power.

Exactly, and I'm pretty sure what she did could be considered treason. While the King was gone she used mesmerize to brainwash the entirety of the palace's workers, the knights, and even a noble (and he's probably not the only one). And sadly enough it doesn't even end there, after mesmerizing the King's people she framed and tried to capture and kill her own sister a member of the royal family AND even though she got caught in the act and her dad told her to release mesmerize she didn't do it, meaning she ignored an order from the King. Man if that ain't high treason I don't know what is.
Please don't let that princess follow the
