The fact that he isn’t in love isn’t a reason to cheat.
It doesn’t matter whats his feelings, if he wanna go explore other stuff, he just needs to meet up with his boyfriend and break up. But he prefer to play with someone’s feelings. Which is why he is trash, doesnt matter whats his story.

the plot isn't that he breaks up with his boyfriend to go sleep around with other people. the plot is that our mc is a lying cheater. I mean yeah, he CAN just break up with his current boyfriend to sleep with someone else... but isn't that the most obvious story premise? why would I want to read something so ordinary? how is that an interesting story at all? lol
I meant to say that if he wants to go play around(to the point of actually doing it), the right thing to do would be to break up. But he did not do that, which is why he is trash.
Also I dont think a cheating uke is more interesting than one that breaks up in the right time. It’s really up to my taste though, but i prefer faithful romance story.
Well yeah, the right thing to do is already very obvious, so it doesn't really pull in my interest. I'd much rather read about a character who makes every bad decision thrown his way & watch him try to get out of it.
Tbh for me, that sounds more gripping than reading about a character making the most expected decision possible. I love a good faithful romance story too, but that has it's own separate genre.

I guess it depends the story. I like Down and Dirty, where the uke chases after a bad guy. Very bad choice but its his life, his choice. Or Painter Of The Night where the seme is a bad guy, i enjoy it too even though the seme is quite something.
Bad choices can be good, but if it implies backstabbing a lover, i dont like it. But i guess for many people, cheating uke is better than the usual cliché story xD

Ok people call him trash but that a bit hard... I don’t want to defend people who cheat on their lovers, but in this story, it sounds more complex, you know. The MC is not really happy in his life, he seems to let himself be carried away by his couple and hope that everything goes well. But love is sometimes more complicated than that, it’s rarely simple. I don’t feel that he’s full in love with his boyfriend. Maybe we’ll see him try to find the boundary between love and affection (which sometimes isn’t clear, you think being in love with someone when actually you just care about him/her). Maybe he’ll end up hurting one or both of them and hurting himself on the way ; maybe he will figure it out before that. Wait and see. Personally, i enjoy this, it's not the classic love triangle with a good seme and a unhealthy seme with the uke hesitate between both. Just 3 regular guy and one who try to understand his feelings.
