I know right? The awkwardness of their kisses leaves an unsettling feeling rather than being cute. Tho I'm not sure I would call them forced since Tamaki is very reluctantly going along with Shi. Tamaki is very traumatized and seems to disinterested in sex only because he associates it with negative outcomes so Shi pushing this whole touching and kissing stuff so soon seems like the wrong move. And Tamaki's mom is yuck for showing all that to her child and now older she seems needy for him and he clearly has a mom complex because of it. Poor thing.

I think it makes it realistic though. Two ordinary teenagers or young adults don't necessarily think about right or wrong in those situation and while it was, from an objective standpoint, wrong what Shii did, it still happened. Because wrong things happen. Some might not even see them as wrong. Tamaki doesn't seem to be too mad and his thoughts weren't directed towards his past and his uncomfortable feelings about sex. So maybe it was still a little bit right for tamaki that Shii did that.

Somehow incredibly cute. Also realistic with regarding the search your sexuality. Although as an asexual person I felt so uncomfortable when Shii forced Tamaki to something more touchy.
