As a married couple in the first timeline, I believe BOTH Tia and the prince deserves a second chance of happiness with each other.
SPOILERS
1ST TIMELINE:
- The prince was continuously poisoned by Duke Zena, causing schizophrenia and hallucinations, believing in the filthy lies he spoke about Tia. (Duke's plans were ruined in 2nd life when Tia joined knights.) During the peak of hallucination, the prince raped Tia. Many, many more heartbreaking misunderstandings ensues, from both sides. Biggest of all, Tia's father still lives. The prince never killed him.
- The prince tried to overturn Tia's execution but he was outvoted. He could only watch her die (something the manhwa didn't reveal) which he bitterly regretted. One pawn down, all in Duke's plans.
- He constantly compared Jieun and Tia, realizing Tia fulfilled her duties as queen perfectly behind the shadows. His poison worsens, ruining his state even more.
- The prince succumbed to his poison after Duke stole the throne, and welcomed death as he died alone by the cliff with regrets staring at the moon, so he could reunite with Tia. He, who represents the sun, pleads with the moon, who represents the Empress.
- Do not forget that by novel standards, he was supposed to end up with an isekai heroine Jieun. He broke novel cliche.
2ND TIMELINE:
- Both Tia and the prince became drastically different characters. even Tia recognized because they were different, their characters could affect their growth to another direction.
- Jieun was unable to see him as the prince of first timeline, and as a result, her revenge died off. She saw the prince utterly devoted to Tia, and recognized a completely different person.
- The prince and Tia gradually showed feelings and communicated, destroying whatever lies he might've been fed with. Eventually, Duke had to resort to other evil plans, since what caused their destruction in 1st timeline obviously will never work here.
- For the first time, we saw the prince's inner heart.
These two have many things to work out together. I'm a firm believer of second chances, especially when both were pawns in their first lifetime and words that were meant to be said, were never said.
