"for me, i guess [spring] would be golden."
"golden? why?"
"it's a secret."
maybe there are tears in my eyes rn

so anyways, i was on pins and needles waiting for the next chapter of this and i am SO GLAD that someone did us the great service of translating it.
this was such a cute read. really the only can of worms someone could open up here is that gaku took advantage of an inexperienced himari at first, but other than that it was virtually unproblematic. gaku was gentle and sweet, and his assertiveness didn't feel predatory. himari was cute (he looks absolutely lovely when he's blushing!!!) and dorky. his bluntness was really funny sometimes. also loved the size difference between them! love me couples with big height differences!!

it seems that "blue spring" is an actual saying in japan which means something along the lines of "the best time of one's life", apparently sometimes connected to youth and adolescence. gaku and himari talking about it was obviously referring to their newfound love, and gaku's "for me spring would be golden" was referring to himari, whose hair is blonde (golden)
