It's an easy way to earn commission-based money, I've been told? Chinese webtoons are usually quantity over quality so...
Content makers will prioritize producing more over producing good content... These kind of comics often have a lot of cliff-hangers.
Btw I somewhat enjoy them. I like gourmet meals and fine dining, but occasionally I also want some bad junk food that requires no mental processing.
No problem~
I know a lot of sites earn money based on ad-share/views. So more content = more viewership = more money... and sometimes commission is based per chapter. So people will make a ton of short paged chapters.
But that's just Chinese business strategy in general. Cheap, fast, plentiful.
Versus Japan's make-by-demand. It's more honest, but also a lot slower... one of my most favourite manga updates seasonally (aka. 4 times a year).

Lmao I love how it's become a routine for me whenever I see a wonderful cover like this I go like: "Oh! This will probably be so good.." and then the moment I click on it and I see what kind of art style it is I hear a "Run" inside of my head and I yeet myself out of there. I'm sorry but this is a scam lmao. there's a lot of Chinese webtoons that are actually good I would even consider some as masterpieces, THIS however looks like some mass produced scheme someone is trying to pull out on us... Like what is the REAL story behind these kind of webtoons??! they look the same, most of the time the plot is the same, the dialogue is also terrible and they use an amazing art cover as a click-bate until you actually click and realize how bad everything is ... Like what the hell is going on here? What is the explanation of this overly produced lousy and cringey manhuas??! cuz I'm lost and a bit scared actually? is this another way for the Chinese government to spy on us? lmao
Note: No offence if you're actually enjoying these manhuas and you like them, this is just my personal opinion and what I've noticed since 2017.
