Just because someone was a victim once, doesnt excuse becoming a criminal. He may have been raised by a monster, but he came a monster himself. He caused so much pain and destruction with all the people he killed. No matter what he went through, he committed many crimes that he has to pay for.
I think killing him will not solve the problem. Bum also had the potential to be a criminal cause of abusive behaviour of his family....the police officer obsessed with sangwoo also had the potential to become a killer and criminal cause of his unresolved issues regarding the death of his father and his hatred towards killers...he anticipated sangwoo's motives and plan as if he himself was a serial killer helping police.

perhaps. but all that will show is how easily a killer can fool a social worker. murders are immensely intelligent and find it easy to charm their victims and fool society.
i dont have much faith in mental health professionals or social workers. so many children die because they are left in dangerous homes.
also, i doubt a killer can be reformed once he has killed, at that point all you can do is give a life sentence.
it would be interesting for them to do studies on that though, but it would be hard to follow up on. do you use therapy and meds and release them and see if it works? lol

20 years? Murders should do life with no parole. You can't steal someone's chance to live and only pay for 20 years. Just my opinion. A murderer should never be freed. Whenever they are released, they relapse.
I think sangwoo was a sociopath cause he was normal before the abusive behaviour of his mother and sociopaths are not born but made. So it's so sad that someone's life is ruined and they are turned sociopaths because of the misconduct of the people who were supposed to love that person, his family.

The stories of mentally abused grown children who are beyond help always stabs me right through the heart.
Both the uke and seme were in desperate need of professional help but sangwoo was especially abused and I think the author did a good job to make readers to actually sympathize with such murderer character.
I think their promise , dying together, was kinda romantic....they could not reach their heart and cleanse each other in this world...hope they actually see each other as they are for the first time in the other world
