Like I mentioned I think she was very ify about the couple and I really don't know why ??? Like it's clear they're romantically involved. There's no debate about it. Also if it helps any more, there are plenty of sketches by Yoshida with them intimate and there are hard sexual undertones: Eiji taking photographs of Ash in the river, shirtless in their apartment, removing his shirt etc. Eiji shaving Ash's facial hair. The dancing in suits and Ash is Kissing Eiji's neck. Ash dipping Eiji down when dancing. And there's this small series of panels from Eiji's perspective where it mentions 'living as normal boys for the last time' and laying in the grass shirtless. Another series of panels where Eiji is shown removing his shirt and hes only in his underwear and they're appeared to be sleeping together, they're also wearing matching bracelets. OMG sorry if this is a lot lmao I thought these sketches were pretty known in the fandom but if you're knew I'd understand. I'm sure you can search them up easily on Google!

I had them all (the intimate series of asheiji which yoshida drew, and recently there's a little sketch of asheiji in which ash is the husband and eiji known as eiko as the wife floating around also means that she pretty much wants it to occur anyways), I've been actively saving both fanarts and original works (from the artbook) and all of them are no doubt famous so there's no way I don't know what's going on, it's just that this is the first time I've heard about her wanting to make asheiji's relationship a sexual one that's why it kinda struck to me bdhdhdhd and yeah, sorry again for asking you do too much of the work, but thanks anyway! (=・ω・=)

No worries!!! You seem so sweet. I don’t mind discussing it in this much depth with a fellow fan. I believe in the interview Yoshida worded more so like she wanted it to happen but she couldn’t weave it in with the story in a pratical sense. Hell, they couldn’t even be romantically comfortable in the chaos they were in. Lmao! Anyways have a great day !!
Honestly the way the author perceives her own work is so warped and strange. She bounces between ash and eiji's relationship, but draws them intimately with affection outside of the manga and even mentions they would have a sexual relationship in an interview, yet disregards it in other interviews and then states that Ash never deserved a happy ending because he was a criminal..like okay Yoshida are you sure it was you wrote the story ?? LMFAO
