Nah. I think she loves him but can't afford to get close to him as it might have horrible consequences on Aseph, she's afraid of his instability and isn't sure if he genuinely loves her. She hates the fact that there's her seal coming between them too. She has the seal, now what would happen if Aseph who might actually be falling for her knew of it. She isn't sure if she'd be able to stay next to him so she doesn't want to give him false hopes or white lies.
Yep, if she acted true to her feelings now and later finds her partner with the matching seal, Aseph would be in the same situation as in the original story...
So it would be better to act as a friend to stabilize him, instead of giving him false hope.
