Maa-jiii is kikuemon right ? he's the one we see the most, he supports a lot the MC's pairing and a journalist even told him they were a couple, that's why he asked Kuma-jii to look after Gensuke
I think so. Lol. All the different names each person have get me so confused. I'll have to put time aside to re-read and try to remember all the jii-chan's face as well as who's jii-chan is whose. (￣∇￣")
Masoami = granpa Kikuemon, Sougourou's (uke) granpa, speacialist in female role, really good actor
Akio = granpa Juiichiro, Gensuke's (seme) granpa, specialist in male role and Kikuemon's perfect partner, dead a long time ago, really really good actor
Kumonosuke= kuma, specialist in male role, juiichiro's remplacement (and so rival), really good actor

I humbly disagree. I don’t think Kumajii felt any romantic affection towards Kikuemon aside from admiration as an actor towards a senior actor, and a really good one at that. He has always felt inferior and jealous that he cannot compare to Gensuke’s grandpa as Kikuemon’s partner, but I believe it’s purely a professional rivalry. What happened between Kikuemon and dead grandpa may be a result of mixing up work and love together where their ambitions grew apart or clashed with each other. This may also be why Sougorou’s grandpa entrusted Gensuke to a respectable senior actor to let him fully develop his potential while he takes care of Sougorou himself and watches over them.
So Kuma-jii has a crush on Aki-jii who most likely crushing on Maa-jii, however maybe a confession went wrong so Aki-jii and Maa-jii split. Most likely Maa-jii refuses Aki-jii's confession as he got omiai and won't go against his family wishes like most grandpa story troupe. Thus, Kuma-jii was make to partner with Aki-jii. He has always felt inferior and even jealous of Maa-jii in terms of being about to evoke emotions the way Maa-jii and Aki-jii were able to. At the same time he also agrees and admires that Aki-jii and Maa-jii are a great combi.
I feel bad for Kuma-jii for his unrequited affection.
Have we seen Maa-jii yet? I can't remember. But I don't want a spin-off of the grandpa story cause it's a sad ending. We all know none got together that's why our current MC boys came to be born.
