I can kind of see what you're coming from, but from what I saw and read.
Tsuburaya (The Uke) is loved by Tatsumi (The Seme). Of course, granted, it's not like a crazy romance love story out there since Tatsumi has no common sense.
I also think that Tsuburaya is really not settling for less since Tatsumi is good looking and has a job where he gets paid enough to hand out money. Sure, his personality/common sense can be worked with but overall there's nothing less I can find.
I think these two suit each other very well and they're both lucky to find and have each other.
I think tsubaraya suits tatsumi but I'm not sure about them suiting each other
When I say settle I don't mean it in that sense
I couldn't care less about the looks or money in this case
He settled for someone who doesn't love him like he deserves
I feel like tsubaraya is a very generous person so he could probably find someone that made him feel special and appreciated not just lucky
I love the story and love the way it was told its really cool how even though there are some misunderstandings they resolve them really quickly
I just wish tsubaraya hadn't had that realisation. It's just not a nice feeling to have about the person u love
Haha I'm actually intrigued by your thought process. Hmm...
What does it mean to love someone as they deserve? Is there a right or wrong way to do it? Do you need someone to make you feel special and appreciated to make it seems like you are truly loved by them? Is it not enough to simply be with each other and say you love each other? Then again relationships have always been complicated. To each their own.
Tsuburaya could have found someone to make him feel special but I still think it wouldn't have worked out. He isn't the type of person to seek out another. If he is, he would have already done so and already have a partner but he isn't. It was Tatsumi who dragged him out of his own pace by making Tsuburaya cook for him. He also changed because of Tatsumi.
Then again, I'm just saying things to justify them. Who knows.

I agree.
If all love is the same and simple as a fairytale prince and princess who live happily ever after. Then we probably won't have Sex Role Play, BDSM or yandere peeps, etcetera. Because in the end, people love differently. There are those who make out in the streets and those who rather just hold hands at home and that's okay. Love how you want to love or how to be loved. Then again, I'm not an expert in love.

Am I the only one bothered by the uke feeling like he was just lucky and not really loved?
I think they are a cute couple and all but it feels like the uke is kind off settling for less than he desrves
