I have two ideas/ things I want to happen with the soulmark. Half of me wants Alseph to get the same soulmark at a later date, perhaps after he falls in love with her.
Another darker part of me wants this to go in a darker direction and have another innocent man to have the same soulmark as her (and queue the jealousy hohoho), and for her to prove her love/how devoted she is to Alseph, Zay then straight up murders her actual soulmate. Like, we all know Alseph is crazy and dark and every story we read with a villain has the villain "reforming" with the MC's love, I'd really like reading a story wherein the MC becomes morally grey to match the villain
(IDK, I think the idea of soulmates is so romantic (obviously), but when you start thinking seriously you suddenly realise it's not that romantic to leave your loved one that you've built a life with for a complete stranger just because fate decided to put a mark on you both and I'd kinda love to see her reject fate for Alseph because her love for him is the only reason she's even in this world)
Either way, I'm excited to see where this is going! It's one of my favourites atm!!
My mind went one darker and had the thought of her skinning where the mark is just to try to get rid of it FaithSummers
OOF! I adore this!!
Now I need two stories, because I really want them to have a nice sweet romance and happy ending, but I really do want to see our dark angsty ideas pan out!
