This story is from China and that have they have strict laws. So not smut scenes not unless the author sneaks it some where.
It was clear that the smut scenes were cut out from the original.

I have been reading this story on Tapas since 12/4. Tapas is up to chapter 23. I know the Chinese raws are up to chapter 53 plus an extra, I believe the story is finished. The smut scenes are not included simply because they were not made or the editor cut it before it was published. Because "Pornography in China is strictly prohibited under Chinese criminal law. Those producing, disseminating, or selling sexually explicit material may be sentenced to life imprisonment. " Chapter 15 will hint at this with two comments "......... ..... ... , the editor's going to censor us again!!!" "Please let this one be, editor."
Some authors do make those scenes, however, they have to secretly leak them out but I am not sure about this story.
Is this guy going through DID/MPD??
